Be a Fat Cat

We can learn a lot from cats. Cats are like entrepreneurs. They set the rules and lay the groundwork and have us catering to them! They know how to enjoy life, know what they want and insist their life run in that way. You too can live the happy life of a cat by taking charge of your own circumstances. I’ve talked with so many people who have been unemployed for months, even years….waiting for what? After that amount of time, if you continue to get the same result doing the same thing then guess what? Try something else! What do you have to lose? We’ve all sat around and conjured up wild ideas about how to make a quick million, but most of us entertain the thought for a few minutes, then forget it. How many times have you called up a friend and thrown a crazy business idea out, only to hear back “gotten any interviews yet”? Show them what you are made of, get off your keesters and take one little baby step toward a new you. If you are like me, you don’t happen to know someone else who is ready to take the plunge into entrepreneurship so there is nobody encouraging you to work towards it. It’s up to you to find others in your shoes, network, brainstorm, and see what transpires. Back in the day, people who were fired were frowned on, and we all suspected it was because they broke a rule, or sassed their boss or were just plain lazy. Nowadays, the unemployed group is comprised of hardworking CEO’s, VP’s, HR Directors, finance gurus, people with all sorts of trades and amazing sales people, let go because they had been there too long and had salaries that were higher than a college graduate would require. And instead of sympathy all you get now when you announce your unemployment is an “oh, you too?” So doesn’t it make sense to connect with other unemployed experts and start your own successful business? Honestly, what do you have to lose? BossDawgs was designed with this in mind. It’s a easy to use site where you list your city, list your business goals, and list the skills you bring to the table. You are then able to search for others in your city, see if your skills would come together to form a business, and so on. It’s free and only takes a minute to register. Become a fat cat.
